One code, every app
A UPI QR is not per-app. The same printed code works in Google Pay and in every other UPI app, which is the point of the standard and the reason a per-app code would be a worse product.
What Google Pay shows the payer
The payee name you set here is what appears above the confirm button. It is the payer’s only check that they are paying who they think, so use the name on the shopfront rather than a legal entity nobody recognises.

The compatibility engine checks the payload against Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM and Amazon Pay. A pass here is a pass we measured, never a guess.
Questions
Do I need a Google Pay business account?
Not to make the code. You need a UPI ID, which your bank or payment app issues. The QR points at that ID, and Google Pay is one of several apps that can read it.
Is this the same as the QR in the Google Pay app?
Functionally yes — the app generates a UPI QR for your own ID. This makes the same kind of code, and additionally checks it against the other four apps before you print it.
