QR code to start a Messenger chat
An m.me link, so someone can open a conversation with your page without searching for it first.
A Messenger QR code stores an m.me link to a Facebook page or profile, which a phone opens as a Messenger chat.
Style this code — colour, shape, branding, frame and output
Colour & contrastThe ink, the paper behind it, and the three eyes. Every choice is contrast-checked as you make it.
ShapeHow the squares are drawn. The three eyes are styled apart from the data, because a scanner finds the code by them.
BrandingYour mark on the code. Every picture here costs scanability — the notes say how much, and the preview is the truth.
Frame & captionA border and a line of text around the code — the "scan me" that tells a passer-by what it is for.
OutputWhat comes out of the download buttons, and what the symbol actually carries.
Print-ready PDF
A press file at the finished size: 3mm bleed, crop marks and a trim box a print shop’s checks read. The code is drawn black on white whatever the design above — how a colour prints is something only a test print can show.
It opens a chat, it does not send one
The link lands on a conversation with your page, empty and waiting. Nothing is sent until the person types — which is the behaviour you want on a printed sign, and the reason this is safe to put on a table tent.
A username, not a display name
m.me needs the page’s username. A display name with spaces in it is not one, and a code built from the wrong string opens a chat with nobody.
Useful where a phone number is not appropriate
A WhatsApp code publishes a phone number. This one publishes a page, which is a business identity rather than a personal one — often the difference between a code you can put in a window and one you cannot.
Messenger QR codes
Is this the Messenger scan code?
No. That one is scanned inside their app. This is a plain URL any camera reads, which is what printed material needs.
Can I prefill a message?
Not reliably, so this does not try. A prefilled message that silently fails is worse than an empty chat that works.
What if they do not have Messenger?
The link opens in a browser, where the conversation still works.
Does it work for a personal profile?
It works for anything with a username, personal or business. The username is the part after m.me in your own Messenger link.
Want to change it after it’s printed?
Make it a dynamic code: it carries a short link you can point somewhere new at any time, and it counts every scan. A free account includes 5 dynamic codes and needs no card — and a dynamic code keeps redirecting even if you never upgrade.
