Table codes are for restaurants, cafés and bars. Each table gets its own dynamic menu code, named for its table. Every code opens the same menu page, with the table number in the address.
Before you start
You need a menu page. The restaurants wizard under Industry setup makes one, or make a menu page from Create.
Issue table codes
- Open Industry from the sidebar.
- Under Table codes, choose the page the tables should open, then Issue table codes.
- Enter How many tables, up to the limit shown.
- Enter the First table number. Tables are rarely numbered from 1 in a room with a bar.
- Set What a table is called: "Table", unless the room says "Booth" or "Seat".
- Choose Issue the codes.
The screen says which codes it will make before you issue them, such as "12 codes, Table 5 to Table 16". Each code resolves at once, and always will.
Plan limits
Every table code is a dynamic code and counts towards your plan. If there isn't room for all of them, none are issued, and the screen says why.
Already issued
The page lists the tables that already have codes, and the next free number, so you can add tables later without clashing.
Open any table's code to design, download or print it. See Printing a code.
