Rotating attendance turns a dynamic code into a register for a class, a training session or a meeting. Open a dynamic code and choose Attendance. A static code can't rotate, because what it encodes is fixed in the pattern.
How it works
- Project the code. It changes every few seconds.
- Everyone in the room scans it and types their name once.
- The register fills as they do. A photo sent to someone outside the room has stopped working by the time it arrives.
Open a session
Under Open a session:
- Class or session name, such as "Physics 101, Monday".
- Rotate every: 30 seconds balances both concerns. Shorter intervals are harder to share and slightly harder to scan.
- Stop taking attendance after: how long the session stays open.
Choose Open session and project. The code fills the screen with a countdown to the next change. Choose Full screen for a projector.
Opening a session ends any other session still open on this code, so one projector has one register. When the session ends, the code goes back to its usual destination.
The register
Choose Register on a session to see who's present and when each person checked in. It updates on its own every 10 seconds while the session is open. Search by name, and choose Download CSV to keep a copy.
Same phone, more than one name counts phones that marked more than one person, the usual sign of someone checking in for a friend. They're flagged, never blocked.
Privacy
No address is stored for anyone who scans, and the phone itself is never identified.
End a session
Choose End session, or let it stop at the time you set. Every past session stays in the list with its register.
