API keys and webhooks

Keys for calling the API from your own systems, webhooks for receiving events as they happen, and the MCP server.

Open API from the sidebar. It holds the keys, webhooks and MCP server for this workspace. The full reference and SDKs are in the API reference.

API keys

Choose Create key and fill in:

  • What is this key for, such as "Menu sync" or "Staging". Every key needs a name, because a list of unnamed keys can't be audited.
  • What this key may do: pick at least one scope.
  • Allowed addresses: optionally, the IP addresses the key may be used from. Left empty, any address may use it.

Choose Create the key. The key is shown once, so copy it before you close the dialog. We store it hashed and can't show it again; the list shows only its prefix. A Sandbox key is also available for testing.

For each key, the list shows its scopes, its allowlist and when it was last used.

  • Rotate: issues a new key. The old one keeps working for 24 hours, so a deploy never breaks mid-flight.
  • Revoke: requests using the key stop at the next call. Nothing else is affected.

Usage

The screen shows calls this month, the error rate, p95 latency and your rate limit. Every response carries X-RateLimit-* headers. Recent API requests lists calls made with your keys.

Webhooks

Choose Add endpoint, enter the Endpoint URL and pick the Events to send. Each endpoint gets a Signing secret for verifying deliveries.

  • Deliveries are HMAC-signed and retried from a queue with backoff. Your handlers must be idempotent, because retries are expected.
  • An endpoint that keeps failing is switched off rather than retried for ever. Choose Re-enable once it's fixed, and Replay failed to send the missed deliveries again.
  • Editing an endpoint keeps its signing secret, so your handler keeps verifying.

An endpoint added by a connected service, such as Zapier or Make, is changed from that service's side.

MCP server

The MCP server at https://mcp.qrcodegenerator.in lets an AI assistant work with your codes. It has twelve tools, each a thin forward to a REST endpoint you already have. Your key is passed through unchanged, so workspace scope and rate limits are identical to the API.

Other ways to connect

  • Integrations: GA4, Meta, Google Ads, LinkedIn, Sheets, Slack, Zapier and Make.
  • Connected apps: HubSpot, Mailchimp, Notion, Airtable, Salesforce, Zoho CRM and Google Business Profile, connected with a sign-in rather than a key.
