CREATING CODES

Review, form, app store and standards codes

Codes that do one specific thing, such as asking for a Google review, or that carry an identifier a standards body defines.

Find these on the Actions and standards shelf of Create.

What each one does when scanned

  • Google review: Google opens your review form with the stars ready. It goes straight to writing a review, not to your listing. If you've connected Google Business Profile, you can make one for each of your locations. See Connected apps.
  • Google Form: the form opens in the browser, with any prefilled answers already in place. A Google account is asked for only if the form requires one.
  • App store: one code that opens the App Store on an iPhone and Google Play on Android.
  • GS1 Digital Link: carries your product's GTIN, so a scan opens the right page for each question about the product. See Product links with GS1 Digital Link.
  • QR-to-AI: hands a question about your product to the scanner's own AI assistant, with your facts first. See QR-to-AI codes.

Static or dynamic

Make a review, form or app store code dynamic if you might change where it goes, or to count its scans. QR-to-AI codes are always dynamic. See Changing where a code goes.
